HOMEMADE HAMBURGER BUNS

INGREDIENTS:
• 2 Tablespoon yeast
• 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoon warm water
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 1/3 cup oil
• 1 egg
• 1 Teaspoon salt
• 3 3 1/2 cups flour
INSTRUCTIONS:
-In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in the warm water. Let stand for 5minutes. Add the oil, egg, salt and enough flour to form a soft dough.
-Knead until smooth and elastic, about 3 to 5minutes. Divide into 8 pieces and roll each piece into a smooth ball. Place 3 in. apart on greased baking sheets.
-Cover and let rest for 40minutes. Bake at 425° for 8 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.
Yield: 8 buns
