INGREDIENTS:
• 2 Cup water.
• 4 Tablespoons cornstarch.
• 1/2 Cup sugar.
• 1/4 Teaspoon cinnamon.
• 6 med. apples [any variety is fine] peeled and thinly sliced.
INSTRUCTIONS:
-In a med. skillet, whisk together the water, cornstarch, sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil and reduce to medium. Add in the apples and cook for 20minutes, stirring often. Remove from the heat and let cool for 15minutes.
INGREDIENTS:
• 1, 15.25 ounce box yellow cake mix.
• 1 Cup butter, melted.
• 1/4 Cup brown sugar.
• nuts if desired.
INSTRUCTIONS:
-Pour the pie filling into the bottom of a lightly buttered 9×13 pan. Open the cake mix and sprinkle the dry mix all over the apples. Pour the melted butter over the cake mix and sprinkle with the brown sugar. Top with nuts if using. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 50minutes.
