CHARLESTON BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Charleston breakfast casserole is packed with lots of flavor and texture! This is the perfect breakfast to make when having company over in the morning!

YOU’LL NEED:

12 Slices bacon
1/4 C. butter, melted
3 . croutons
2 C. cheddar cheese, grated
6 Eggs
1 3/4 C. milk
1 Bell pepper, diced
1 Tbsp. mustard
Salt and pepper, to taste

HOW TO MAKE:

1-Place bacon in a large, deep skillet.
2-Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
3-Drain, crumble and set aside.
4-Preheat oven to 325°F
5-Melt butter in the microwave, or in a small pan on the stove over low heat.
6-Spray a 9×12 inch baking dish with vegetable spray.
7-Place croutons in the bottom of the dish, and drizzle with melted butter.
8-Sprinkle with grated Cheddar cheese.
9-Crack the eggs into a bowl, whisking to break up the yolks.
10-Add milk, peppers, mustard, salt, and pepper, and beat until well-combined.
11-Pour over the croutons and cheese, and sprinkle with crumbled bacon.
12-Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
13-Remove from oven and allow to stand 10 minutes before serving.
